Using different version info per build mode
« on: May 02, 2020, 11:24:47 am »
I have a several build modes in my application. Most of them shares the same version information but, I would like to use, for example, a one additional attribute for a one special build mode.

First question — can I click this setting somewhere or do I just need to include an external version file, one base file for most of build modes and one for this special one? I looked at the project settings and found nothing.

And the second thing. What if I want to use different application title or icon per build mode? Or whatever setting that is currently stored in the Application, Version Info and Resources branch in the project settings tree?

Currently, I either don't see the option to set it in the project option window, or it just can't be done and I have to somehow manually include the appropriate files.

Lazarus 3.2 with FPC 3.2.2, Windows 10 — all 64-bit

Working solo on an acrade, action/adventure game in retro style (pixelart), programming the engine and shell from scratch, using Free Pascal and SDL. Release planned in 2026.
