Hello,
I am not certain which topic this problem should be under, so I hope its in the proper category. After downloading fpcupdeluxe-x86_64-linux, and moving it to a local folder ~/bin, the program crashes when attempting to install any FPC and/or Lazarus version with the error message:
WARNING TBitBtn.Destroy with LCLRefCount>0  HINT: Maybe the component is missing an event.

This was installed so cross compilers could also be installed and is local to the login. The owner is the account owner and aside from moving the program from the ~/Downloads folder, execute permission was added to the program and the folder was added to the PATH. There is no other error message, the application just terminates.

It is unclear if any parameters need to be passed and this was originally downloaded to /usr/bin, but we decided to keep it local to the loging that would be using the applications. We did delete all fpc and lazarus applications, setting, and folders within the /usr/bin path.

could someone please help us get through this problem.

Thank you.

You should probably ask in the "official" topic: fpcupdeluxe, though since it is more commonly used in Linux boxes, you might get replies here too.
