TSqlQuery and Mysql update problem
« on: January 12, 2008, 06:38:42 pm »
Hi all.
First of all, thanks for reading this message.

I'm new to lazarus and start to build an application with mysql.
My problem is that, i have a MySQL table with 9 columns , a MySQL50Connection, a SQLTransaction, a TSQLQuery, a DataSource and a DBGrid all connected and working.
When inserting records, all works fine. no problems here.
When i try to UPDATE records, nothing happens.
If i reduce the table to 8 columns, all works ok.

Truly, this is a strange problem to me. Is there a limit of 8 columns in a table for Mysql/Lazarus applications?

Thanks in advance for any reply s.

JPedro

What type of update are you using, all fields, key fields etc ?

I've tried all of them.
The only way to solve the problem was using ZEOSDB. That works fine. But still ... that problem is quite strange.
Thank for the reply.
