Is there a hack to aid mouse emulation with a touch screen?

I have a nice LCL app running well with mouse & keyboard on a Raspberry Pi 3 (Buster). Now I bought a 11" USB attached touch screen. It works very well, despite I sometimes miss the show hint (mouse hover) and right mouse button click functionality.

Any hints how I can get either functionality with a touch screen?

Thnx, Armin.

No experience with Raspberry here, but...

Long touch (touch and hold) always gives me the right click functionality. No insights for hover though.

"Long Touch" - I tried that, but it doesn't do anything.
