You may be interested in the attached example which shows one way  to save and reload object data associated with a standard listbox.
As winni wrote, for a single user app that does not use a 'proper' database a string makes a good poor man's data container.
The idea is to use a string list  to store 'enhanced' strings customised to suit the data required.
The attached project does not implement a timing mechanism to poll the data list to alert you to the moment an alarm should sound, in order to keep the code relatively simple and focus on data storage and retrieval. But it does show one way to  store and retrieve listbox data for relatively complex objects with several data fields.
