Hi
Thanks for the reply. I did a chmod +x on it and it opened.
The program then told me that I needed at least 1GB of swap space, which I just don't have on a RasPi! It also said that some system programs were missing, but not which!!
In a forum post, I found that I needed subversion, which I installed.
I then selected versions of fpc & lazarus and pushed the button, expecting it to fail!
I then realised that I had left the swap file at 64MB!! However, it all worked, albeit rather slowly!
I now have fpc 3.3.1 and lazarus 2.0.7 up and running.
I then moved my program I had written in the "broken" lazarus to this one. It built well, but every time I run the program, I get a sigsegv error at the point where a ListBox is trying to do a LoadFromFile. It seems like a permissions thing, but I have checked the permissions on the file and the directory.

If I open my poroject in the old directory, then it runs just fine.

I have run out of ideas!!

Brian

Hi!

Did you copy the data file into the new directory?

Does it have enough rights?

Hi
Thanks for the reply
In the end, I deleted the entire directory and recopied it across from its original location and everything works!! It's bizarre!!

Final question - the old "broken" lazarus is in /home/pi/Development. I want to get rid of it. Is it sufficient to just delete the Development directory and all below it?

Thanks

Brian
