HowTo send a PDF to the printer (Rasbian, Debian)
« on: August 19, 2019, 09:59:14 am »
I found a lot of information to make a pdf or print to a pdf-device (and creates a file). But i found no information to print a given PDF-File to a printer with Lazarus. This should be done without a extra viewer and interaction of a user.

Is there a HowTo or such an information how to to this.

BTW: I am searching for this, because fpreport have actual a nasty bug on rasbian when it (lcl)renders to a printer and is not useable. The pdf-creation is working well, but i need to print this automatically.
regards
Andreas

Hi Andreas,

use 'lp filename.pdf' in a ExecuteProcess - it's an easy way and should work.

Thanks for the info, but i have done a (ugly) hotfix for the filed bug https://bugs.freepascal.org/view.php?id=35973

It works for me, because fpcupdelux always insert the patch for me :-) THX to alfred
