Is it posible to create a global variable i a LazReport?

I have a report that contain a band with feilds from a sql rows and this works fine, i got all rows listet. But i need to make some component propety changes if a field is equal to previos row values, eg. in a script where i set fx. hide := false depending of my varabel;

Is this posible???
