How to submit a patch ?
« on: July 10, 2019, 07:00:47 pm »
Hello long story short it's my first message here.

I have made a (minor) modification on the linker code to allow FPC to link COFF object files generated by NASM (assembler). They used to fail with a "unknown relocation" error before.

It's for Win32 and Win64 target.

What is the standard way to submit a patch for this changes  ?

In the bugtracker.
See https://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/Creating_A_Patch#Submitting_the_patch.

You can use the fpc devel ML to ask feedback on the patch before submitting it.
