I've checked that Free Pascal foundation has got three members, so basically it is just a nominal organisation to utilise some funds (if there are any).

That means, that project is driven by its developers mostly, isn't?

And how many active developers FP/Lazarus project has got at the moment? Just rough estimate

It has three board members and is governed under Dutch law. That makes it very, very safe...
