Problem with KControls
« on: June 05, 2019, 03:30:22 pm »
Hi guys, I installed the KControls components in lazarus, when I go to draw a Kgrid on an empty form I get the error you see in the picture. Does anyone know why?

Download pkg from: https://bitbucket.org/tomkrysl/kcontrols
Win10, Ubuntu and Mac
Lazarus: 2.1.0
FPC: 3.3.1

I've never used KControls ...

From what I can guess (see this readme) Cocoa may not be supported.

Quote
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:
-------------------
- platforms: Win32, Win64, GTK, GTK2, QT, Carbon(untested), WinCE(partially tested)
- works under Delphi 7 and higher (tested on Delphi 7, DelphiXE+)
  and Lazarus 1.2.2 and higher
- should work under Delphi 6
- some more problems might be experienced for older Lazarus versions
- see other readme files for additional informations about individual components

I use the KMemo part of KControls under Cocoa without any issues.  But have not had any use for KGrid.

How did you install KControls ?  (I use the online package manager).
