No DB aware controls displayed in toolbar
« on: May 26, 2019, 05:43:50 am »
Hello,

I am using Lazarus from fixes_2_0 branch revision 61277.

I have old projects that I already have DBGrid placed on forms. I can open and compile these just fine.

However, I cannot see and DBGrid, DBEdit etc in the component palette. There is "Data Access", "SQLdb" tabs.

Even I doubt, It maybe me who cannot see what's in there.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks & regards,
Ertan

TDBGrid and TDBEdit are in the "Data Controls" tab.

I was trying to explain that I do not have that tab displayed. However, projects having such components compiles and runs fine.

Did you play with the assignment of components to palettes? I noticed that sometimes components and/or palettes disappear although they are still installed.

Right-click on the component toolbar and select "Options", then "Environment" > "Component palette" (it should already be selected). Click the "Restore defaults" button, which should re-establish the original assignment of components to palettes.

I did not play with components. I only install 2 component sets (indy and zeos)

This is not the first time some components are not visible. Happens for a reason I do not know. Mostly, after another package installation or something.

Suggested solution fixed it.

Thanks.
