Access violation error when creating a new package + component
« on: February 24, 2019, 09:37:22 am »
Hallo,
i'm now testing with the new Lazarus 2.0.0. Nearly everything is perfect, especially cocoa widgetset on the mac. Great.
Actually I got a problem on creating a new package containing a new component. I just followed the instructions on  http://wiki.freepascal.org/Lazarus_Packages#Quick_Start ;  chapter "creating a new package" is OK, ...lpk was created. Then following the steps in "Adding a new component" there was a access violation message after having clicked OK (step 3), followed by program abortion.

This was the same behaviour independant from the platform (all checked with Lazarus 2.0.0): macos 10.14, macos 10.13, win32 (XP) and win64 (win10).

Does anyone hear of a general problem with packages?

I reported it:

Thanks for noticing it.
Mostly Lazarus trunk and FPC 3.2 on Manjaro Linux 64-bit.
