Firebird 64 bit embedded

I have recently upgraded my pc motherboard to 64 bit.   I installed lazarus 64bit and Firebird 64bit.  Whilst installing Firebird I specified the embedded version since  I am only developing a sinlge user app.   However I use Flamerobin as  a database tool and this fails when trying to load my firebird database.   I think it needs Firebird service running in the background and I dont understand how to achieve this.   Also I cannot find the way to uninstall Firebird - I have Windows 10 and it does not appear in the list of uninstallable items in the Windows 10 Program and Features window.

UPDATE.  Solved the Flamerobin problem by reading the manual available online!
