sqlDB / MySQL 5 encryption

Does Lazarus sqlDB support MySQL encryption?  There was a really awesome open source dbExpress driver for Delphi that had:
select AES_ENCRYPT(fieldname,'passkey')
and also an AES_DECRYPT function...
