Integrating the compiler
« on: July 08, 2018, 10:10:52 pm »
Dear FreePascal Community:
I downloaded the two files that are necessary to use the FPC compiler on my computer ( fpc-3.0.4.i386-win32.cross.x86.64-win64
AND fpc-3.0.4.i386-win32 ).  How does one implement these compiler
components in order to make the compiler work?  Thank you.

Hello Michael,

I'm not sure I understand your question correctly but, the files you downloaded include an installation program that will do everything for you.    Install the compiler as you would install anything else.

As far as the compilers working, once installed they just work.  Of course, you got to start them yourself.

That's my best guess as to what the answer to your question is.  Hopefully, it helps.

(FPC v3.0.4 and Lazarus 1.8.2) or (FPC v3.2.2 and Lazarus v3.2) on Windows 7 SP1 64bit.
