FPC ins't finding units in use

I put in code, uses bzip2; and compiler says it can't find the unit.

fppkg shows bzip2 as installed

chicognu@chicognu:~/fpc-3.0.2/bin$ ./fppkg list |grep bzip2
bzip2                3.0.2            -           
chicognu@chicognu:~/fpc-3.0.2/bin$

I fix it by removing everything about fpc and lazarus in the system and install again in /home/$user also I found this page: http://wiki.freepascal.org/Unit_not_found_-_How_to_find_units that may be useful to some one in future
