How can I connect a Database to Datasource1 ?

Well , i have had the same problem, but i try compiling from a dos window simply calling make all, and of course then appears he messages that  a unit or an includefile where not found, the thing y try was editing the source file that was compiling when compiler stops an add to it {$includepath "mypath"} or {$librarypath "mypath"},  after doing that for each file which compiler aborts compiling, yes it compiles,
but when running lazarus it do not run,  it happens that before closing the splash window an eror message appears telling that an access violation have had occured, no idea what do, after that i zip the souce files and reinstall lazarus.  to me it seems that it a problem with the make file. :?:  :evil:

I´m beggining with Lazarus. After read all those complex explanations I´m thinking about  give up.

To use a single database I have to compile modules that I don´t ever know where I find and execute a lot of complex steps. I had the intention of be a user of Lazarus, not a specialist in build modules and more modules and understand the complex architecture of a compiler.

I pay my bills as programmer of business applications. My boss ask me for results not for make efforts in research.

I think that the specialists must build a task force that detect our problems and develop the solutions. We can give precious feed back about bugs and other problems.

I think there are not enough developers to handle the current work load of finding solutions for bugs, missing essential features and other problems. Do you have an idea, where such specialist can be found?

Free software needs a lot of people that have a lot of time and do not ask for money !!![/b]
I do not recommend using Lazarus and FPC to make business applications, if you want fast results then buy Delphi/Kylix, C++Builder(X) or Visual C++, but the price is >700$ and the result is not crossplatform for Visual C++ at least (MFC isn't fully ported to *nix).
