First, you do not lazarus-cocoa to compile your project with the cocoa-lcl. You can set the widgetset and the processor in the settings of your project.

Second, if you want to use lazarus-cocoa, fink the debian like package manager has corresponding package description. After the installation of fink (http://finkproject.org) you only need the command "fink install lazarus-cocoa" to get version 1.8.2, but no version from svn-trunk.

Hello, yes, I was wrong with the wording. It is about cocoa-lcl. Anyway I tried with fink, but the result is:

$ fink install lazarus-cocoa
Information about 11268 packages read in 1 seconds.
Failed: no package found for specification 'lazarus-cocoa'!
Win10, Ubuntu and Mac
Lazarus: 2.1.0
FPC: 3.3.1

Isn't Lazarus 1.8.2 really really Alpha. I installed it (in VM) with fpcupdeluxe and the component-icons weren't even fully visible. Somewhere it says it was in Alpha-stage.

Trunk is a bit better.

I tried to install it with fpcupdeluxe, but it does not install anything.
What do you mean, it didn't install anything? What did it do? Error? Anything?

I tried it in a VM and needed to open the package and run the installer in one of the sub-folder (Contents/MacOS) manually because just running the .app didn't work for me either. In such an early alpha/beta stage of Lazarus cocoa you really want the development version and update it regularly.

This worked, I can compile for cocoa-lcl from the command line. It's a start for testing. Thank you

Stupid me. You are right. lazarus-cocoa 1.8.2 has still an issue, which is only fixed in trunk and i did not enable the package description, but I have forgotten about it. Anyways I am glad to see, that you managed to use the lcl-cocoa for your project.
