Would it be possible to use/port/install the Indy project to freepascal/lazarus?

They also have a new SOAP development. This would be great too.

I think this is a great idea.  So many are ready to proclaim the death of Delphi.  Might as well take the best of it, and move it into a viable cross-platform tool.

Olivier Guilbaud started the port to  fpc / lazarus. For more info see http://sourceforge.net/projects/indy4lazarus

Anybody tried what is posted there with lazarus? Is it working?

Is there a progress on that project? It seems after the initial upload there was no activity...

The most important thing is getting TThread.Synchronize to work. It should work on win32, but it doesn't on all other platforms. I am trying to write a platform independent implementation of TThread.Synchronize; the necessary RTL functions are being worked on by the FreePascal team.

Indy4Lazarus also needs some work before it compiles with winsock (win32).
