no library libsqlite.so found?
« on: May 20, 2007, 11:16:56 am »
Hello

I am new in lazarus (new in Delphi also :D ).

I have installed Lazarus and FPC 2.0.4 in both (windows and Linux Ubuntu Dapper) installing under windows was easy but under Linux takes me a lot of time but i dont worry I did it :D

I use Sqlite and ZeosLib for testing the developpment , under winxp that work fine I accessed data into sqlite db easily, but when i tryed under linux i got message "no library sqlite.so found!!

I installed ubuntu package sqlite3 then I have sqlite3.so.0 in /usr/lib, I also have sqlite3 program to access db!

But when i try to compile using lazarus I got the error message! I also downloaded sqlite-3.3.17.so and copy it into my project directory / /usr/share and in lib diertory, rename it to libsqlite.so, create link (ln -s) with various name (sqlite3.so sqlite3 ...) but nothing work!

What can i do cause i have no idea?
I readed in another topic that we must install a db into lazarus before using it but how?

Thanks in advance.

I moved the topic to databases, since I think it fits more here.
See this thread: http://www.lazarus.freepascal.org/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=3548
