FreeBSD 6.2/AMD64 FPC installation (urgent for me)
« on: March 24, 2007, 05:16:51 pm »
I'm trying to reach Marco regarding compiling FPC on FreeBSD / x86_64, but I've been unsuccessful so far.

Has anybody, in any fashion, gotten FPC and the RTL to compile on an AMD opteron with FreeBSD 6.x installed?

I'm trying the svn, I've tried just copying the executable from a FreeBSD 6.1 / x86 build, I've tried building as i386 target, nothing is working.

In particular, it seems that some key assembly code files are missing (cprt0.as, gprt0.as) from the compiler files.

As much as I would loathe to do this, has anybody tried building the linux x86_64 version and running under linux emulation?
