FPC, Lazarus relationship questions

I understand that FPC is the compiler and Lazarus is the IDE.  Who maintains Lazarus?  Is it the same people who maintain FPC or are they separate projects?

They are different people working on seperated but related projects. Lazarus depends on fpc of course.
