How to use CVS?

(1/1)

derox:
First of all I want to say that I have never used CVS before. Since they don't update the binaries on the download page, I figured that I just had to learn this CVS stuff... but that was'nt going to be very easy  :?
I've downloaded the program TortoiseCVS (v1.6.14) and after reading here and there I came to the conclusion: Make a new folder, rightclick on it and choose CVS checkout to download the program... I typed in the CVS root and everything, but when it comes to what I have to put in the "Module", i have no idea? Is the meaning thaht i must download one folder at the time?
Or have I done everything completly wrong by now? OR WHAT!!! ARGH!
(think it's time for me to learn meditation and yoga)

- Help please!

It has been a long time since I used TotoiseCVS, but I think the module is lazarus.
If you are using the command line version wincvs, more info is at http://www.lazarus.freepascal.org/modules.php?op=modload&name=StaticPage&file=index&sURL=cvs
