ListView horizontal scrollbar

I've noticed a ListView behaving strangely in an application I made.
The scrollbars are set to ssAutoVertical, and the vertical scrollbar does only appear when there is enough content to scroll, but a horizontal scrollbar also appears when the program first loads.

Maximising and then restoring the window gets rid of the scrollbar completely but I don't know why it should appear in the first place.

It's just an annoyance rather than something critical but I'd still like to stop this from appearing.
