Closing a project.

I know this have been discussed before, but I can't find where.

Can anyone tell me why it is not possible to close at project - I find that it is sometimes confusing that a project is still open when I install a new component in the IDE etc.?

I would much prefer to be the one who decides when to save a project, and start from scratch.

The ide is project based, so without project there is no editor and from that point you have 2 options:
1) exit lazarus
2) open a new project
