I would like to hello to you all.

Now on to my questions:

1. is there an easy way to setup SDL for use with Lazarus / FPC in Linux ?.
2. if so where and How would I go to learn ?.

Now a little about me I am a new user to the Linux OS Family, I am a former Windows user (last version XP) and I have some programming skills in (Q)Basic and Liberty Basic 1.02.
I have been away from programming for a long time (since 2002) and have just got a second hand computer for $20.00 with Linux (Kubuntu 14.10) from a buddy and he told me about this place.

So I came to ask questions and to learn Pascal to make some simple games and hopefully learn enough to move on to another language like C or D.

Thanks in advance for any help and advice you may have.
