FPC problem?
« on: November 03, 2014, 02:27:48 pm »
What does that mean?

Failed to execute C:\lazarus\fpc\2.6.4\bin\x86_64-win64\fpc.exe  -MObjFPC -Scghi -O1 -g -gl -vewnhi "-FiD:\?????? PascalABC\????? ????? (2)\lib\x86_64-win64" "-FuD:\?????? PascalABC\????? ????? (2)\" "-FUD:\?????? PascalABC\????? ????? (2)\lib\x86_64-win64\" -l project1.lpr : 267

I'm using 64-bit Windows 8, I met this problem on either 32- or 64-bit version of Lazarus. I've tried to reinstall multiple times, but this error still happens after I save my program. If I don't save my program, I can run it normally, but if I save it, it won't work.

Thanks for helping,

1) Does the file exists? C:\lazarus\fpc\2.6.4\bin\x86_64-win64\fpc.exe
It should.

2) What antivirus do you use? Some antivirus are known for trouble, and you may need to add fpc, lazarus, gdb, and maybe others to the exception list.

If you are worried about any of those being infected, upload them to

Search the forum for "Comodo" if that is what you use.
Personally in the past I had issues with Bitdefender (stopped using it). Very recently AVG  did produce false alerts.

What do the ? characters refer to? Are those unicode characters by chance?
