Hum, a few months ago, there was here a post saying that lazarus and free pascal fora are merged into one unique forum.

If you are so disappointed about LCL-fpGUI messages, why dont you create a new FPC branch, like "Pure free pascal Widgetsets". Im not sure that Graeme posted announcement of  his new release only to annoy Lazarus LCL fans.

Or be clearer, just say that this forum is no more the official forum of fpc and only Lazarus things are welcome to be discussed.

Thanks.

Yes. There is a Free Pascal section now. This is not that section.

There is no need for a forum board for every third party package to be discussed, and there already was a post for fpgui in the third party group, where it belongs.

He double posted, one of which (this one) was in a lazarus group and redundant. Moreover my remarks were more general about trying to drag fpgui and related subjects in discussions (and boards) where they don't belong.

Blaazen:
I like reading news about fpGUI and MSE here but I agree with marcov that it belongs to Third Party Announcements (at least until LCL-fpGUI will be mature enough).

Fred vS:
@ marcov and Blaazen => OK, i understand your point of view and respect it.  ;)

Yep, of course, but it seems to me that complete widgetsets, developed with fpc only (like mse and fpGUI) are more than "common third party package".

Both are Ambassadors of fpc, who show what fpc can do vs other languages.

They merit a individual branch (like you did for me, adding "Multimedia" branch, re-thanks again  ;)).

Long life to fpc.

Fred.

Fred vS:
Sorry to come back.

Do you remember the huuuge complains against BigChimp-fpcUP and Graeme-fpGUI announcements in Third Party branch ?

People were complaining about BigChimp and Graeme messages, saying that they monopolize the Third Party branch, and blablaba...

Now i go further => BigChimp merits also a fpUP branch (like mse and fpGUI).

Eternity for fpc.

Fred
