gdb: "we are pulling the plug" failure
« on: May 22, 2014, 12:13:05 pm »
Trying to set up Lazarus on iMac: OS X 10.9.3.
Used home-brew to install gdb version 7.7.1
gdb crashes with "pulling the plug" message.
I'm new to Lazarus and this list. I can find refs to the issue from 2011 but not much to help me.
I've checked project>options> generate debugging info and use external gdb symbols. Type of debug info: automatic.
I'm pretty sure the certification of gdb was successful (how could I check?)
Very grateful for any help here.

I dont have a Mac. But try changing debug info, between stabs and dwarf (wiki -> debugger setup)

Also running a log file http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/GDB_Debugger_Tips#Log_info_for_debug_session may help diagnosing the issue.
