Better grid component?
« on: January 04, 2014, 03:21:40 pm »
Hi all,

I don't remember where (spanish maillist, this forum, wiki...) but some weeks ago, I readed somewhere, about a grid component very interesting. AFAIR was on a conversation about combo or calendar integrated in cells, with this option available in this component.

Somebody knows the name of the component, and where to read about it?

Regards.

Use the standard TStringGrid:

Follow http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/Grids_Reference_Page#Example:_Working_with_Picklist.2C_How_to_make_it_read_only_and_How_to_fill_it_at_run_time. to build a "picklist" (= combobox) and http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/Grids_Reference_Page#Using_cell_editors (EditorStyle cbsEllipsis) to open the calendar. There is an example in folder lazarus/examples/gridexamples/columneditors for picklist, colordialog and calculator (and more).
