SQLTransaction - Won't set to 'True'
« on: December 10, 2013, 06:56:56 pm »
Hey there,

I have a simple program which is just an access database, with a DSN file that i use in the ODBC connection, which connects successfully.

However the SQLTransaction doesn't seem to want to set to true anymore (it works on other computers and used to work on mine up until recently) and i can't seem to figure out what's wrong.

It sets to true when I don’t have a database set in the SQLTransaction and pops up “Database not assigned” and as soon as I set the database to ODBCConnection it just won’t set to true with no error message popping up.

I'm only a student learning SQL so i'm not an expert at this at all, so if you need any more information i'll try and tell you.

Thanks in advance,

Some code should be useful.
Normally de TSQLTransaction is only active when TSQLQuery (connected to TSQLconnection) is set to open.
You're using ODBC connection. Witch database are you using?
The OS and Lazerus version should handly to know for reproducing.
Lazarus 2.06 (64b) / FPC 3.0.4 / Windows 10
stucked on Delphi 10.3.1
