Error when connect to Firebird in Lazarus with Ubuntu
« on: October 30, 2013, 01:50:29 am »
Hi fellow Programmers!  :D

I have installed Firebird SuperClasic 2.5 in a computer that have Ubuntu 13.04 64-bit; Lazarus 1.0.12 with FPC 2.6.2 and FlameRobin 0.9.3.2220  ;)

When I open my database in FlameRobin there's no problem. I can open the database and make Querys, etc. ;D But when I try to open the same database in Lazarus the program shows me the error:  :o

IBConnection1: DoInternalConnect:
-Can't access lock files' directory /tmp/firebird

Could this be an error of permissions or owners of the database?  :-\

I thank You for the help.  :-[

You didn't try Google - this was the top result for your error string:

Lazarus 2.0.4/FPC 3.0.4/Win 64

When install firebird, adding "firebird" grup and user. your user joined "firebird"group too. And check database's permissions too
