[SOLVED]Installed component and cannot see it

Almost newbie here, and a newbie question too.

I've installed Lazarus 1.0,8, FPC 2.6.2. Windows 7 32 bits here.

Then I installed LazReport, all ok, new component tab, holding all report components.

Then I installed fpSpreadsheet. I cannot se any new component tab nor find the components in the component list, but is installed, or this is what package install/uninstall dialog shows me.

What do I have to do to get it?

Hello and welcome,
I personally has no experience with fpsporeadsheet. Wiki says: http://wiki.freepascal.org/FPSpreadsheet#Packages that laz_fpspreadsheet.lpk are non-visual and laz_fpspreadsheet_visual.lpk are visual components. What did you install?

Hi Blazeem,

Both of them, because laz_fpspreadsheet_visual.lpk requires laz_fpspreadsheet.lpk.

I tried. I downloaded "zip" from here http://sourceforge.net/projects/lazarus-ccr/files/FPSpreadsheet/ (fpspreadsheet-1.1.zip) and compiled and installed both *.lpk files to IDE.
The first visual component (TsWorkSheetGrid) appears as the last on the "Additional" palette and TsWorkSheetChartSource appears on palette "Chart".

You can also rightclick on the palette and search using a name...

Just look in the second tab (Additional), you will see a new item at the end called tsWorksheetGrid. That's where your fpspreadsheet component went.

Hi all.

Thank you very much! I was looking for something called fpspread or spread and so.

And made a full clean+build, etc.
