TProfGrid

Hello,

from my delphi 7 times, I used a grid component with name TProfGrid. In 2012 the homepage www.profgrid.com faded away. Now, searching in web the only thing I can find is this article :

Anybody here who knows this component and is interested and has the knowledge in porting it to Lazarus/LCL? I have the source code from latest version 3.4.4.9

Actually I'm not sure about the legal stuff, and I don't know how to ask the former developer. His name is Nicholas(?). Anybody here who knows him?

What did ProfGrid do, that LCL does not provide?

Btw. you are wrong. You are talking about ProfDHTMLEdit v.2.0.3.11 not about ProfGrid v.3.4.4

Thank you for your suggestions. I know TKGrid and it seems to be comparable to ProfGrid. ProfGrid has RTF text mode implemented, but maybe I can define my own cell writer class for TKGrid. I'm very glad that a Lazarus port for VirtualTreeView exists. Its a great component, I use it already as well, but in my opinion not directly suitable as grid component. Am I wrong? I have never thought about it. Well basically its possible, but I think it need a lot of additional work to implement direct grid editing in the way I need it.
