Fail to use mysql component

HI.. need help here....
i try to installed the mysql component (under windows)... it is compiled but... then when lazarus reopen.. it says failed to open mysqllib....

can u pls tell me what is the right step for it?
is there any path to be set? i've put my mysql's path on the component's library path.. but still does not work...

pls help..

Hi Rudi,

The best way is to get libmysql.dll library from mysql server installation. You have to put this file directly to Lazarus main directory. As far as I know the best way is to use libmysql.dll from any mysql 4.0.x server (when using SQLdb component)

I have same incident with SQLdb component (or mysql component) .

I tested fewer version of libmysql.dll (4.0.0 / 4.0.0a / 4.0.23 / 4.0.26) and error occurs (ss_clear / server_init error)

I used Lazarus 0.9.10b (french) / Win32.

I despair  :cry:

I've just installed MySQL 5 and the lazarus from Lazarus-0.9.11-20060203-win32.exe has a TMySQL50Connection that I use and it worked.

Where are you find this binary? The last binary i found it's 0.9.10

Arg...Don't work!  :shock:

Hum, i will uninstall old version to see.

 :P  It's ok with Lazarus 0.9.12b ! Mysql/SqlDb seems to work.
