all sections are newbie sections.
Good judgement is the result of experience … Experience is the result of bad judgement.

all sections are newbie sections.

Well, it does not seem so to me. Many topics are advanced. What I mean by Newbie section is a place where total newbies can ask their silly questions.

The topics might seem advanced and in most cases uninteresting to an outsider but the questions are asked from newbies on the subject. You can say that the entire forum is targeting newbies. Please select the most appropriate group and ask your question there.

I agree with Taazz. You can ask whatever, just keep in mind that posting in the proper subforum could bring you to a solution faster. From this point of view all sections are newbie.
You could start with the General thread, probably.

Лазар 3,2 32 bit (sometimes 64 bit); FPC3,2,2; rev: Lazarus_3_0 on Win10 64bit.

If a newbie section existed, I can guarantee you that most (not all) of the advanced users will go not there. It will be seen as a "play pen" & not worthy of much attention so most of their questions may remain unanswered which will hinder the adoption of Lazarus by new users.

Besides, nobody is an expert in ALL areas in this forum. In my case I'm rather raw where screen graphics, screen painting & web programming (I need to learn Brook Framework  :() are concerned but very strong with networking, databases, algorithms & math in general. So I may ask a newbie question from time to time depending on my needs.

Some of these newbie questions are actually thought provoking & make you see things from the viewpoint of users however naive that may be. In the final analysis, it is the end user that counts.

So let newbies post their questions in the appropriate sections & their questions will be addressed from there.  :D
