ZEOS, INDY, LazReport, ect.

Hello,

every package I would like to install have errors. It is crazy.

In ZEOS I read from erros with postgres. So I deleted all files in the ZEOS packages with this server. I don't need this.

The first 4 packages are now ok. But in the zcomonent I get the error:

C:\lazarus\components\zeos\zeosdbo_rework\src\component\ZAbstractRODataset.pas(342,14) Error: Not all declarations of "GetFieldData" are declared with OVERLOAD

The compiler stops in the following function:

    function GetFieldData(Field: TField; Buffer: Pointer;
     NativeFormat: Boolean): Boolean; {$IFNDEF FPC}override;{$ENDIF}

What's that?

I think I stops my enthusiasm in Lazarus befor I get stomuch problems.
No ZEOS, no INDY, no LazReport (LazReport is installed but I get no Designer at design-time, see an other posting - no answer)

Ok, I'm a little bit frustrated.

Best regards

Josef

Hello,

I have two ZEOS-packages. One was after the installation in the Lacarus path and the other I have downloaded from sourceforge.

I deleted the postgres files as I wrote in the packages that cames with Lazarus. Lazarus is "Lazarus-0.9.10-20051002-win32" and free pascal compiler is "fpc-2.0.2.i386-win32".

The INDY-Components I have downloaded from sourceforge. The LazReport was in the Lazarus path, too.

All were downloaded yesterday.

Best regards

Josef

OK, this might be too late and I'm not sure if it is the problem, but something to check for with both Zeos and LazReport is to compile in Delphi compatibility mode... (Project->Compiler Options->Parsing[tab]->Delphi Compatible checked).
