[RESOLVED] Where is Apple's Package Maker?
« on: March 19, 2012, 12:18:29 pm »
Hi, everybody.

Can you tell me how to get to Package Maker on my Mac?

I installed Xcode a couple of days ago, so I suppose it's the latest version, but I am unable to find Package Maker.

TIA

I think it is no longer bundled with Xcode itself.

You can download it from https://developer.apple.com/downloads
"Auxiliary tools for Xcode"
1.0/2.6.0  XP SP3 & OS X 10.6.8

What do you need it for?
function GetRandomNumber: integer; // xkcd.com
begin
GetRandomNumber := 4; // chosen by fair dice roll. Guaranteed to be random.
end;

Hi, I would like to create a setup package for my application when I deliver it to the final user. This way, the app will be positioned in the Application folder, which will make it more professional.

Hello again. Something very odd is happening to me.

I installed Package Maker, launched it and included one of my bundles in the Contents bar.

Apparently, all the procedure for the creation of the package was completed successfully and in the end I got my package.

Now, when I install my package, I go tho the Application folder -- which is the destination path I selected while creating the package -- but my bundle is not there! In spite of this, at the end of the installation, a message tells me that the application was installed properly.

Any ideas about the mistake I am making?

Thanks.
