Colored Lines to show blocks structure in editor.

CNPack has this wounderfull feature that is extremly helpfull especially in big projects with complex behavior.

AFAIK, CNPack doesn't have any prevision to be ported to Lazarus.

So, how about? I dont think that is something hard to be implemented.

Any thoughts about?

Or, anyone knows some CNPack similar to be used in Lazarus.

Showing the block at caret:

Showing the end of certain structures. You can configure which structure/colr in the options
http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/New_IDE_features_since#divider_lines_in_editor

There are also commands (can be mapped to keyboard)
- "Jump to Block other end"
- "Find Block begin" ((always goes one block, further out)

For more navigation/search and other useful features go to

Ask for a feature request in the bugtracker, don't do it in the forum. IMHO, it's not really a good feature as it may interfere with the syntax highlighting. Plus, too much colors don't make the code more readable, even quite the opposite.

It can be of one color or more depending on an option.
It can be showed or not depending on an option too.
I bet some likes in a way others likes in a other way.
I bet for some is helpful for others maybe not, i guess.

I think is helpful.

But i`m sure that the distinguished friend knows that.

I`m aware of the blocking matching and line divider, is something like that, and they, by me, are already helpful.
