can't install Indy10 on Mac OSX
« on: July 14, 2011, 12:47:36 am »
Hi,

I'm using Lazarus 0.9.31 and FPC 2.4.2 under MacOSX 10.6.
I have downloaded the Indy10 with SVN and I tried to install as described the following (http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/Indy_with_Lazarus):
Quote
Open and compile indysystemlaz.lpk
Open and compile indycorelaz.lpk
Open and compile indyprotocolslaz.lpk
Open, compile and install dclindycorelaz.lpk
Open, compile and install dclindyprotocolslaz.lpk

Then rebuild Lazarus and you will see a 15 tab's with Indy components.

The problem is that I can't find any Indy component tab. Has someone used Indy components in Mac?

Can you use Ararat Synapse instead? I have found Indy to be cumbersome and obstuse.

Hi 99Percent,

thanks for the tip. I gave up to use Indy.  :( For my current project I just need the indy tidhttp component to post some http data, so the complete indy component package is just a little bit overkill.. Now I use HttpPostURL from synapse instead.  ;)
