Perhaps LazarusBrasil publication may inspire others to publish it into their own languages too.

I've translated my Arabic book (إبدأ مع أوبجكت باسكال) into English under creative commons license.

New book name is: Start programming Using Object Pascal

You can download the book from here http://code.sd/startprog/index.html

Nice work...Brilliant effort...
Have been browsing through it, and I see that there are still some Arabic inside the code examples :)
Are going to test them out later on, and hopefully throughout the weekend...

The only Arabic sentence is exist in Enumerated/Languages example, which is normal. Did you find Arabic in another example?

Pointers are mentioned in my second book, in memory chapter (First chapter)

Kudos to you motaz for such a fine, selfless endeavour. I'm sure it'll come in handy for Lazarus/FPC users. I'm already looking forward to the second book. I hope you'll cover Internet Programming and your FreeSpider component in detail there. I still believe that this is the area where Lazarus/FPC needs to show that it can deliver in this Javacentric, PHPcentric & dotNetcentric world.  :D

Now I'm still with this translated book. I'm following the translation to Brazillian language procedures, and editing it to a native English language. After that I might find a time to start translating the second one.

Finally the official copy of the book has released after being edited by Pat Anderson.
Pat has corrected the gramatical mistakes.

I have a message from Adobe Acrobat which says that the incorporated font is not possible to extract. Some characters are not shown, specially on code examples.

The font is Courier10PitchBT-Roman

I had the same problem in Acrobat Reader, but using Foxit Reader (also free) shows all text correct. So Foxit reader could be your alternative here.
OS: Windows 10 (64 bit) / Linux Mint (64 bit)
       Lazarus 3.2 FPC 3.2.2
       CodeTyphon 8.40 FPC 3.3.1

Could you specify which page?

In all pages which have code examples and in some lines of text too. The previous file did not have this issue.

Perhaps you can find the font and change it to something like Courier New.

I can confirm the problem (Win XP). As JanRoza says, the problem does not appear in Foxit Reader, but in Adobe Reader it does.

Take a look at the following screen shots.
The first one shows page 10 in Foxit Reader. The second screenshot shows the same page in Adobe Reader. You can see that Adobe cannot show the example code on upper part of this page.

Maybe it is the standard font of your paragraph style called المتن

This font is missing in the document: Courier10PitchBT-BoldItalic

But I can open the source document ( http://code.sd/startprog/StartProgUsingPascal.odt.zip ) with WordPad

PD: this book is really nice. Please post it in the Wiki  ::)
