I have put together a modified version of the
makemesmall utility that Marien van Westen made available in 2006.
Called SimpleCompressor it has been compiled for Windows as a 32 bit application and with Linux as a 32bit application.
The Windows version comes as a source code zip or an installable app also wrapped in a zip package.
The Linux version comes as a source code tar.gz or a tar.gz package that contains the executable and the strip and upx utilities.
I have been able with a copy of the the utility to compress it from 19.5MB down to 1MB, so hopefully you also will be able to make good use of it too.
SimpleCompressor is available from
http://www.wibblytim.co.uk/compress.htmlFeedback will be most welcome. It works fine on my computer but ....
I do not have access to a Mac so don't know whether it will be useful to Apple users.
