Tmemo doesn't work as expected

i cannot to change ability of writing by command "Memo1.ReadOnly:= false;" why is it so?

and when i add text in memo over border limits, focus doesn't places at last string so i cannot see last strings...

It does work as expected under Windows  8)
I can change the readonly property; when lines are added the memo scrolls down etc.

Note to self: silly answer for a Linux group

Oops, sry, my mistake  :-[
I came in here via the 'unread' list, wasn't paying attention to the group.

Readonly works for Ubuntu/laz 0.9.29, but indeed the lastly added lines are not visible.
You need to manually scroll down.
