Cannot make new install

I have just built a new linux box using opensuse 11.4 (64 bit) and I am trying to get Lazarus working.

every seems to be in the right  place  but when I try a  " make clean all"  it fails as follows

I'm trying to install Laz version 0.9.30 with FPC 2.4.2  (x86_64 linux-gtk 2)

the Laz binary will load but kills the linux session when I try to do anything in the editor

Is that file OK ? Maybe some random error during download.

downloaded and did new install after removing all traces now "run" and make works but still having session kill when I'm trying to work.  I suspect it's a graphics driver/ gtk2 problem as it did not happen twhen I was in a remote session yesterday and I have just booted into a failsafe mode and laz seems to work... AAAAAAARGH

Sorted... Nvidia linux driver!!!!!!!
