mbutils - object oriented Modbus library and utilities
« on: November 18, 2010, 07:50:33 am »
 Hi,

Recently I've did the first release of mbutils beta package. It is aimed to experienced developers and end users who needs an interaction with Modbus devices. Currently implemented components are RTU-client, TCP-client and TCP-server. The library itself have no visual components and can be used in the same way as Synapse library (which it includes too).

There are also several utilities. Currently only mbuquery released, but mbuproxy and mbuflash (bootloader support) are on the way.

mbuquery is a console program which can be used to perform various queries to Modbus devices. Unlike well known modpoll it also supports 'write' functionality.

Project did not have a dedicated web-page yet, but the source code can be downloaded from: http://sourceforge.net/projects/mbutils/files. Feel free to submit feedback and bug reports.
