GTK2 progress?
« on: September 15, 2003, 06:55:05 pm »
First: Thanks for a great alternative to Kylix. Even if it is not as extensive as Kylix yet it builds gtk-apps and is Open. Keep up the good work.

I use GNOME 2.2 and I find GTK2 much nicer and more smooth. I tried to build an application for GTK2 but it seems that the support is not really finished. I downloaded the GTK2forPascal lazarus package from the GfP site but it only installed the pakcages but I was still unable to compile the application for GTK2. I now realize the lcl for GTK2 is not quite finished. Are there anyone working on it or is it dead? It has been set to "in progress" but has been like that for a while.

On the mailinglist there was just the news that they could run Lazarus on GTK2. Extremly slow, but they are getting somewhere
