.O etc. files
« on: September 26, 2010, 07:53:51 pm »
Hi,

Just starting out in Lazarus and not been too long into Delphi. How do I tell Lazarus to put the .O, .PPU file somewhere other than my target file location ? I like my output folder to be clean.  :)

This is 0.9.28.2 on Windows 7.

Thanks.

Mc

On Environment > Options > Environment > Backup you find some settings to this.

Yep, thats the one I found. Is there a way to set it by project instead of globally ?

AFAIK, this is being moved right now by Lazarus Team to the Project Options dialog.

Ops, I don't know if I have right understood:

He said:

"The option for the project target file name was moved to the
paths of the compiler options. This is the same dialog, only another
page.

The options for -o, -FE and -FU are now on the same page.

I hope this will reduce the amount of frequently asked questions
about output file names.

Mattias"
