VideoTest released!

From this link:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/freepascalvideo/
you can download a simple application written in freepscal for Windows and Linux on how to manage a webcam. Do you think is a good idea to include it in Lazarus as example?

I think it certainly worth to be added to this wiki page. As for including it into default Lazarus distribution it is better to be discussed with core developers.

Did you actually test it on Windows? It uses unit BaseUnix.

Look for "All files" on SF there is separate source download for Windows and Linux (with same filename).

Win2k is the os  lazarus 9.26.2. The lpi has the mainform but it can't be viewed in the  lazarus IDE.The lazarus IDE compiles it ok but run does nothing no screen shows up. The exe in \VideoTest\lib\i386-win32 does run ok.

Hi,

Tnx for the video units!

I try on Windows7. First time builtin camera is detected, picture shows. Now close picture-form, start again, and upon clicking Start-button a popup comes up asking me which video-source to use. There's only one in the list. I say OK and I get a black screen, no picture. I think somewhere the connection is not released properly?

On WinXP it does start capture, but clicking "Stop" does nothing. Caption of button remains "stop".

Restarting the program and "start" works ok. But still no "stop". No need to restart the computer.
