TOracleConnection missing
« on: June 28, 2013, 12:01:32 pm »
Hi,

I am new in Lazarus, though I got some experience in Delphi (it was long time ago).

I've just installed it (win 64 bit version) and tried to connect to Oracle DB. I don't know, but TOracleConnection is missing, even though all other connectors (like MySQL, IB...) exist.

Can anyone help?

I checked that files exist:
 Directory of C:\LAZARUS\fpc\2.6.2\source\packages\fcl-db\src\sqldb\oracle

06/28/2013  12:00 PM    <DIR>          .
06/28/2013  12:00 PM    <DIR>          ..
06/28/2013  12:00 PM                 0 1.txt
01/29/2013  12:19 PM            68,335 Makefile
02/26/2010  06:12 PM               262 Makefile.fpc
04/21/2012  08:52 PM            37,353 oracleconnection.pp

Thank you
Kris

As explained in the wiki,
http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/oracle
the Oracle SQLDB code has not been enabled for Laz x64 on Windows. It is available for Lazarus x86 (32 bit) on Windows.
Want quicker answers to your questions? Read http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/Lazarus_Faq#What_is_the_correct_way_to_ask_questions_in_the_forum.3F

Open source including papertiger OCR/PDF scanning:

Lazarus trunk+FPC trunk x86, Windows x64 unless otherwise specified
